A contactor is the heavy-duty switch that powers your compressor and fan motors on and off. Over time the contacts can pit, burn, or weld shut — a common cause of a system that hums or clicks but won't start. ActronAir systems use contactors and relays matched to the unit's load, rated by kilowatt capacity and coil voltage: ABB and WEG CWB-series contactors across a range of ratings (for example CWB9 through CWB32, from around 4kW to 15kW at 240V), mini contactors, interlock contactors, auxiliary contact blocks, protection relays, and link modules. Selecting the correct coil voltage and pole configuration is essential for a safe, reliable repair.
