Warranty and Returns Policy

1. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. Our manufacturer-backed warranty
In addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, National AC Parts warrants the genuine ActronAir parts we sell against defects in manufacturing or faulty workmanship for 12 months, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions of sale. This warranty is in addition to — and does not limit, exclude or modify — the statutory consumer guarantees described above.

3. Making a warranty claim
To make a claim, contact us and we will provide the return address. The part must be returned to National AC Parts or the manufacturer for assessment. Please include a copy of your tax invoice and any manufacturer claim form. The equipment must have been installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions by a licensed and qualified person.

If the part is assessed as faulty, we will replace it, deliver the replacement to you at no cost, and credit your return-delivery cost. Where the Australian Consumer Law gives you a right to a refund or other remedy, that right is not affected by the manufacturer-backed warranty being “replacement only.”

4. Warranty exclusions (manufacturer-backed warranty only)
The manufacturer-backed warranty does not cover: transport or installation damage; damage from incorrect power supply, wiring, voltage surges or electromagnetic interference; damage from negligence, foreign matter, vandalism, accident, flood, fire, lightning or force majeure; damage from corrosive environments (for example coastal, mining, sulphur or swimming-pool areas); and any additional exclusions specified by the manufacturer. These exclusions apply to the manufacturer-backed warranty only and do not limit the consumer guarantees.

If a returned part is assessed as not faulty, we will notify you, and you may collect it or have it returned at your cost.

5. Returns
Change of mind: unopened parts in resaleable condition may be returned for a refund less the original shipping fee and a 20% manufacturer’s restocking fee. Opened parts are treated as used and are not accepted for change-of-mind return. Air conditioning units are not returnable for change of mind.

None of the above affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where a part or unit is faulty or does not meet a consumer guarantee. In those cases the consumer-guarantee remedies apply and no restocking fee is charged.
